Shenzhen’s ten peaks are all left with this Da Bijia Mountain. I’ve been looking for a chance to climb it, but I’ve been busy with things recently and haven’t gone out much.
I’m finally free this week, haha, let’s go
Today is August 29, 2021, weekend, because it’s quite far away, so I need to get up early to take the bus.
It is recommended to join a group or drive yourself, as it is too far. Although I took public transportation today, the waiting time for the last bus is long. I took a taxi to the destination in the end.
Got up at 5:40, packed up, had breakfast, and then walked to the subway station.
Departed from Fuyong subway station at 6:40, transferred to Line 2 at Futian station to get off at Exit A2 of Yantian Port West station.
After coming out of Exit A2, keep going straight, cross the zebra crossing, go to the Zhou Daifu Building bus station in front, and take the M362 to the Kuiyong Office bus station.
After arriving at the Kuiyong Office bus station, it is recommended to take DiDi to the destination:坝光 Exhibition Hall Station.
If there is a bus, go to the opposite side and take the B988 bus to 坝光 Exhibition Hall Station directly.
(Now it is recommended to directly search for 坝光 Exhibition Hall Station on Gaode, and navigate to take the subway or bus faster)
Take B988 to 坝光 Exhibition Hall bus station.
However, this bus sometimes runs every half hour, sometimes every hour, and sometimes every two hours. When I arrived, they happened to have a trip coming, which came around 10:06, and I got on it.
On the way back, I called DiDi from 坝光 Exhibition Hall Station to Kuiyong Office Station, which cost about 27 yuan, and then I took M362 to go back.
It was already 10:25 when I arrived at 坝光 Exhibition Hall. It took about three and a half hours from departure to now. It is strongly recommended to drive or join a group, which would be faster, more than one hour, and then walk forward from the bus station.
To Da Bijia Mountain, there are two commonly taken routes here, one is the one taken today, and the other is from the foot of the mountain, walking under the culvert. That bus is not convenient to reach, and it is usually taken in groups. So, for public transportation, I recommend the route from 坝光 Exhibition Hall, and the route is relatively shorter, which saves effort.
Keep going straight along the sidewalk on the side of the road, and then after the zebra crossing, turn right, and you will see a place like a construction site.
This seems to be road construction, just walk in.
After entering, walk to the opposite side.
Go to the left and follow the road up.
It’s a bit desolate, so it is recommended to come in a group, not alone, after all, safety comes first.
Continue to move forward and pay attention to an entrance on the right.
When you see this entrance similar to highway maintenance, you have arrived, go in.
After entering, follow the cement road on the left, go up and move forward.
Then you will see this wooden board bracket, go to the opposite side, there is water placed by the donkey friends, which can be bought by scanning the code. If you don’t have enough water, it is recommended to buy here, as the price is cheap, and the water price above is expensive.
The water here is carried up by the donkey friends for everyone’s convenience, and then go up the stairs.
After going up, there is a sky bridge, go to the opposite side, and the mountain climbing starts. This route is called the “Tower Line” by some people because there will be two high-voltage towers along the way.
This route is a direct one, and there is no need to take the wrong road. Today, the weather is too hot, and the sun is scorching. After walking for a while, the heart rate accelerates. So, if the weather is hot, remember to take sun protection measures, bring more water, and rest more.
The road up the mountain is like this, a rocky mountain road, which is more original, and it is about 5 kilometers to the Da Bijia Mountain punch-in point.
It is still quite tiring. I met a brother who went back because the weather was too hot. Choose according to your own situation, because it is relatively remote and far from the city. If you feel unwell, rest and retreat in time. The future is long, and health comes first.
In addition, it is recommended to wear long pants, sun protection sleeves, anti-slip sports shoes, or breathable mountaineering shoes. Some places above are quite steep and need to be climbed, so anti-slip shoes are better.
These pictures are the road conditions of the first half, which is basically climbing up.
I arrived at the first tower here at about 10:51.
Then you can see a mountain top behind, and there is another tower.
The road to the tower later is basically a Z-shaped climbing route, which is quite sunny and physically demanding. Pay attention to safety and rest.
Arrived at the second tower, and the time was about 11:34.
There is water behind the tower in this shaded place, and the price is also paid by scanning the code, which is more expensive than below.
It is recommended to take a break here, because the next stop is a climb, which is very physically demanding.
This slope is on the left side just up. If you are in the shade in front, there is a road going up. The slope is still a bit long and steep. Rest well before going up.
I am climbing this slope now. Be careful not to slip, step firmly, and safety first.
After going up halfway, look back down.
There is also a rest point here, and there is also water. Rest for a while before going up. The slope is long, the weather is hot, and physical consumption is relatively large.
The second half is not so steep, just pay attention to sun protection, and slowly climb up the first mountain head. To punch in at Da Bijia Mountain, you probably need to cross three mountain heads. Take your time.
After reaching the top, look ahead, the highest mountain top is Da Bijia Mountain. The road behind is relatively easy to walk, but also pay attention to safety.
Some sections have deep grass, so be careful to look at your feet. Today, a brother was tripped by a stone under his foot and almost flew out. It is very dangerous here, and there are all rocks in front.
Irregular stone road
The shaded path under the tree is coming again.
Pay attention to the stones under your feet where the grass is deep.
Arrived at a mountain head
Tired, take a rest, there is no water here.
Continue to move forward.
You will see this road sign along the way. Seeing it proves that you haven’t taken the wrong road. This is a commonly used outdoor road sign.
Climb another mountain head.
Pay more attention to your feet, and there are road signs.
After reaching the mountain head, you can see the top of Da Bijia Mountain ahead. Come on, it’s almost there.
The ridge road, with cliffs on the side, pay attention to safety.
It’s not far.
The punch-in point is above.
Da Bijia Mountain is quite challenging.
Compared with other mountains, it is more primitive, with no artificial steps, and closer to the real mountain path.
WeChat scan code punch-in point is in front, and there is a rest point in front with water, take a short rest.
In addition, as a famous outdoor graduation route in Shenzhen, “Three Waters Line,” Da Bijia Mountain is a part of it. If you want to challenge the Three Waters Line, you can also continue to move forward, but you need to prepare according to your own physical strength. You can go to the Two Steps Outdoor app to search for the trajectory of the Three Waters Line, and just follow the map route that people walked before. The journey is relatively long, and the challenge is relatively large.
If you only come to punch in at Da Bijia Mountain, you can end here. Everyone can choose to go down the mountain along the original road to 坝光 Exhibition Hall Station. It is recommended to take a taxi to Kuiyong Office Station, as the bus time is too long, and then take M362 back from Kuiyong Office Station.
Today, I have basically challenged the ten peaks of Shenzhen.
I hope that you who are reading this strategy will also successfully challenge Da Bijia Mountain. Come on!
If you go, remember not to go alone, take a few friends together, so that you can take care of each other, and safety is always the first priority.
