June 2nd: From Ranwu to Bomi, approximately 130 kilometers.
I started having breakfast a bit late today, at 8 am. This morning’s task is 64 kilometers, and I’ll have lunch at Yupu Township around noon.
I started to depart at half past eight. Although there are 130 kilometers today, they are all downhill, so the difficulty is not great.
I took a picture of the place I stayed before leaving.
It’s a gentle uphill start. There will be an ID card check when leaving Ranwu Town. Remember to take out your ID card in advance.
I arrived at Ranwu Lake just a few hundred meters after departure.
The scenery is still very good, and the lake water in the distance in May is also very clean.
With the companionship of the snow-capped mountains.
Continue to post pictures.
I rode alongside Ranwu Lake for a long distance ahead.
So I took a lot of pictures of Ranwu Lake.
I arrived at the Ranwu Lake viewing platform at 9 o’clock, with undulating roads and long slopes.
At half past nine, I saw a place by the lake where many cycling friends were taking pictures.
After going over, I found that it was a group of retired cycling teams with people over 60 taking photos.
I stayed for 8 minutes and then continued on my way.
I met a hiking friend, cheered each other up, and continued to move forward.
If the road ahead was undulating with many uphills, then from this Nyingchi boundary sign, there is a section of the road that is a long downhill, which is one of the few long downhills today, it’s quite refreshing, pay attention to the speed.
After the long downhill, it’s back to undulating roads, starting to go uphill and downhill.
Internet celebrity check-in point, a group of motorcycles riding back and forth here, shooting splash videos.
The Midui Glacier Scenic Area sign is right next to the 318 road. Since it’s not in my plan, I continue to move forward.
Zhongba Tunnel.
The road surface is quite good, and it’s uphill after leaving the tunnel.
Passed a village with pastoral scenery, no village sign, not quite clear which one.
After crossing the Ranra Bridge, it’s behind to Yupu Township. At this time, I was very hungry, having ridden 60 kilometers, my physical strength was about to run out.
At 12:04, I arrived at the Yupu Township checkpoint. Brushing the ID card and using the Tibet Easy Pass mini program.
After passing the checkpoint, I rode more than 1 kilometer and arrived at the 57 lunch spot in Yupu Township. The two of us ordered a green vegetable and a shredded potato with pork for 60 yuan.
I set off in the afternoon at about 1 o’clock. The task in the afternoon is the same as in the morning, 65 kilometers of undulating downhill road.
I arrived at Yupu Middle Bridge after half an hour of riding.
As the altitude decreases, the scenery in the afternoon is completely different. There are many more trees on the side of the road, and it’s no longer that kind of shrub. The oxygen is also sufficient.
At the 3897 kilometer mark of the 318 National Road, there are still 48 kilometers to today’s destination, Bomi.
This is the place where the landslide occurred the day before yesterday. The road is still full of gravel. I dare not ride for fear of a tire puncture, so I pushed the bike past.
This picture is a private collection. At that time, when I was riding, I felt that the scenery was very good, the road was straight, with trees on both sides and snow-capped mountains in the distance, so I took a picture. I strongly suggest that if you have the chance, you must go and see it for yourself. Try not to choose July and August, as there are too many natural disasters during the rainy season.
Passed Songzong Town.
Leaving Songzong Town is Songzong Temple. After passing Songzong Temple, there is a bridge under construction, and you have to go through the temporary road next to it, which is very rough.
I saw in the strategy before that there would be an armored mountain here. I was looking for it all afternoon but didn’t see it. After leaving Songzong Town, I finally saw the sign, but to be honest, following the direction of the sign, I couldn’t see which part of the mountain looks like armor. Alas! What a pity.
It’s time for the 318 public service advertisement:
It takes a thousand years to grow a tree, but a spark can destroy thousands of acres of forest. Everyone is responsible for protecting the environment.
Today I remembered another village name: Longya Village.
There is a series of uphills in front of this village. When I rode up, my internal strength was almost exhausted, so I have a particularly deep impression.
I particularly like the pastoral scenery with fences on both sides of the road, and then the fences are full of crops on both sides, which is very peaceful.
As I walked, the trees on both sides of the road became different due to the decrease in altitude.
At more than 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the sun was shining, the air was fresh, and it was like walking into a forest.
At this time, there are still 17 kilometers away from Bomi County, continuing to soar in the forest sea.
I passed another unknown village. Although I don’t know the name, it has my favorite pastoral scenery.
I just went up a slope, and then I saw the prayer wheel, which is driven by water flow.
There are still 7 kilometers to Bomi. In fact, there are many slopes today, and some of them are really long, and the difficulty is catching up with the previous pass.
About 2 kilometers away from the county town.
Ready to enter Bomi County: the hometown of the Tibetan King.
Today, I rode 130 kilometers, and I was indeed a bit tired. After all, the distance is so far. When I arrived at the 57 cooperative post station, there were no standard rooms left, and then they introduced us to the post station next door.
The standard room is 100 yuan, 50 yuan per person. The environment is also good, and the price is not expensive.
I ordered takeout for dinner, twice-cooked pork over rice. Since entering the Tibetan area, I have basically been eating twice-cooked pork over rice. I don’t know why I like it so much.
Bomi County is currently the only county in the Tibetan area that can achieve takeout freedom. Other counties basically have only a few stores on Meituan takeout, which is too tragic.
Because of the Dragon Boat Festival tomorrow, I just ordered zongzi on Meituan again, to celebrate the festival in advance.
Today’s biggest feeling is: Ranwu Lake is really beautiful, the undulating road is really uncertain, every downhill will have a long uphill waiting for you, it is indeed quite hard.
Tomorrow: From Bomi to Tongmai, about 90 kilometers, the road conditions are similar to today, undulating downhill, 40 kilometers less than today, it should be relatively easy.
