Yangtai Mountain is located at the junction of Bao’an District, Longhua District, and Nanshan District in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. It is situated at the border between Longhua District and Nanshan District, spanning three sub-districts: Shiyan in Bao’an District, Dalang in Longhua District, and Xili in Nanshan District. Yangtai Mountain covers an area of 25.5 square kilometers, with its main peak located in Shiyan, at an altitude of 587 meters, making it the highest peak in the western part of Shenzhen.

Transportation: Subway to Yangtai Mountain East Station, Exit A on Line 6
Gaode Map navigation, from Fuyong Subway Station on Line 11 -> transfer to Line 6 at Songgang Station -> Exit A at Yangtai Mountain East Station, just walk straight ahead after exiting the station.
After walking for more than 500 meters, you will see a park security booth, next to some Yangtai Mountain management. Turn left at this entrance of the booth and follow the signs along the road.
When you arrive at this point of Yangtai Mountain, you have reached the entrance, just under the overpass. Go straight ahead and it’s the park. Then turn left for the climbing entrance and public restroom. To climb, just turn left ahead.
We enter from here on the left, where there is a sign indicating that Laiwu Mountain Reservoir is 300 meters ahead.
Follow this mountain climbing road and walk up 300 meters to reach Laiwu Mountain Reservoir.
The reservoir is a fork in the road. Going left through the iron gate leads to Xiao Yangtai Mountain, while going right along the reservoir leads to Da Yangtai Mountain.
We go right to Da Yangtai Mountain.
After crossing this dam, continue to follow the road forward, and there is a vending machine ahead for convenient water replenishment.
Park patrol point, there will be one every section of the road.
Walking forward for about 10 minutes, you will arrive at this intersection with left and right forks. Check the sign on the right.
On the right is the fork climbing entrance for Da Yangtai Mountain, an entrance with mountain climbing stairs.
Just follow the stairs upward.
This route is quite strenuous to the summit, so conserve your energy.
You will probably see several electric towers on the climbing road ahead, and this picture is probably the second one seen by the roadside.
Then going down, you will see such a fork in the road. The original road is abandoned, and there is a sign on the tree indicating no passage. The correct route is to the right on the stone slab road.
After going up, at this intersection, go to the left. The rest platform and toilet are on the right. If you need to rest, go to the right for a break. Friends with OK physical strength can continue to the left.
There are many fork intersections along this road, so everyone must pay attention.
Here is a fork, go to the left to go to Mingyue Corridor, but we continue to follow the main road forward.
In the picture above, go to the left at this intersection to the Couple’s Pavilion. There is a sign in the middle of the fork, and the direction for Da Yangtai Mountain is to continue to the right.
After walking for a while, you will see Qingfeng Corridor, which is a pavilion for convenient rest, snacks, and water.
After Qingfeng Corridor, there is a fork in the road. Continue to the left, and the right side is a helipad.
Then, there is another fork in the road later. Continue to the left to go to Da Yangtai, and go right to go to Xiao Yangtai.
When you arrive at the stone sign of Longhua 16, continue to turn left along the main road.
Below, see this public restroom, and after passing it, follow the road to the right.
It’s a road with a downhill and uphill section. Walk slowly and conserve your energy.
After coming up, continue to turn right.
This section is a longer downhill and uphill mountain road.
After that, it’s not far from the summit.
See the sign of the Stone Monkey Exploring the Sea, and the summit is ahead.
Come on, successfully reach the summit.
When going down, you can choose to return the same way.
Or you can go down from the Shiyan entrance, choose whichever is convenient.
