Introduction:
Wutong Mountain, with an altitude of about 943 meters, is the highest peak in Shenzhen.
There are many mountain climbing routes on Wutong Mountain, today I took a classic one, taking the subway + bus to Wutong Mountain Station, entering the mountain from the northwest gate of Wutong Mountain, climbing up the mountain road, and descending via Bitong Road, which is convenient for taking the subway back.
Transportation:
Subway Line 11, Fuyong Station -> Transfer at Chegongmiao Station to Line 1 -> Get off at Exit E of Laojie Station, walk to the outpatient department 2 bus stop, transfer to Bus No. 211, direct to Wutong Mountain Station
Arrived at the subway station and started to depart around 8:20
Around 9:30, arrived at Laojie Station, then came out from Exit E (navigate to the outpatient department 2 platform), transferred to Bus No. 211 at the outpatient department 2 platform, the bus took about more than 30 minutes and arrived at Wutong Mountain Station
After getting off the bus, continue to walk forward and you will see the sign
Continue to walk forward, do not turn to other roads
When you reach a fork in the road ahead, turn right along the main road, this road is Wangtong Road, and the end is Wutong Mountain Scenic Area
The mountain climbing road officially starts here, the right side of the entrance is the restroom, which is on our right side if we are facing the entrance.
After entering the main gate, the mountain climbing road is the mountain road, which leads all the way to Hao Han Slope.
The distance is about 7 kilometers, as it is all asphalt road, so the difficulty is not too great
Mainly endurance and physical strength
If you usually exercise less
Rest more on the road
After entering the gate, slowly climb up along the mountain road, high temperature reminder: do sun protection
After walking for about 1 to 1.5 hours, you will see the sign for Big Wutong and Small Wutong
After seeing the sign, take the road on the left, which is the route to the summit of Wutong Mountain.
After turning left, you will see a vending machine, friends without water can replenish water, and it is also convenient to rest here when tired.
Walking further back, you will see another resting place, which is not far from Hao Han Slope, tired friends can rest, eat something, and replenish their strength
Hao Han Slope
You have probably hiked about 7 kilometers by now, give yourself a thumbs up!
As a hero, our next goal is to reach the summit
There are two routes I often take to climb from Hao Han Slope, one is the mountain climbing line behind Hao Han Slope, and the other is the Fengming Path on the left
Hao Han Slope, the route behind is next to the public restroom, just climb up directly
The route of Fengming Path is on the right side of the square, which is on the left when we just went up, there is an entrance that can be seen from a distance
I usually prefer to take the Fengming Path, so this introduction is mainly about Fengming Path
After entering Fengming Path, there is a relatively flat stone road ahead
Then walk to the mountain entrance on the side of Tai Shan Stream, it starts to become a stone step mountain road, this section of the road has a high climb, the road is a bit steep, walk slowly, rest more when tired
After the stone step road of the stairs, the end is a stone road, which is also the last section of the road, after walking up it is the top of Wutong Mountain, this section of the road is also relatively hard, the weather is also hot, rest a bit in the shaded areas in the middle
When you see this sign, you have reached the summit, congratulations
At this time, you will feel that the sweat all over your body is worth it
The first peak of Pengcheng,
There are too many people on weekends today
I didn’t take any photos myself
If there are not many people when you come
Take a group photo and leave your memory
You can choose to return the same way on the mountain road
Or take other routes
Because it’s convenient for me to take the subway back
So I chose Bitong Road for the descent
Bitong Road is the road going down from “The First Peak of Pengcheng” just now, there is a road going forward, which is the direction of the lady with an umbrella in the picture, continue to walk forward
Then walk to a fork in the road, you will see this sign, turn right to go to Hao Han Slope, continue to the left to go to Yantian, I continue to go in the direction of Yantian
There will also be shorter signs on the left side of the road, written Bitong Road is more than 4000 meters, you can pay attention to it
Then continue to walk forward
You will see this viewing platform, this platform is Wutong Mountain, the best place to watch the sunrise in the morning, and also the most beautiful section of the mountain road
The sign says Bitong Road is 4200 meters, Bitong Road climbing Wutong Mountain is a route that is more physically demanding, it is quite steep, and I will write a special Bitong Road climbing strategy next time
The mountain road, just keep walking on this road, and then there is a fork in the road later
When you walk to a circular platform, there will be 2 roads
The right side is the descending road of Bitong Road, and the left side is Xiutong Road
Although both roads can reach the subway station when going down the mountain, Xiutong Road is farther from the subway station, so I took the right side of Bitong Road to go down the mountain
If you are worried about taking the wrong road, you can look at the stone signs on the side of the road
The road of Bitong Road is basically this kind of stone slab stone step road, or a more primitive stone step road
Many routes have a large slope and are steep, so climbing up this road consumes more
Just keep walking on this road and you can get down the mountain, don’t take the fork in the road
After getting down the mountain, take a picture of the entrance
The location is next to Yantian People’s Hospital, on the right side, next to it (if facing the People’s Hospital, it is on the left side)
If you come to climb the mountain by yourself, take the subway to Line 2 (Line 8) Haishan Station Exit A2
Then navigate to the People’s Hospital on the map, and you will be there in a few minutes
If you are going to watch the sunrise and climb up Bitong Road, it is recommended to go up the mountain during the day, not at night, after all, this road is quite steep, safety first
